There's a hidden wire stretched above American cities — and few people know what it's for

There is an interesting cultural phenomenon that takes places across the United States in Jewish communities. As you may know, Jews are not allowed to carry things outside of their homes on the Sabbath. In order to get around this rule, rabbis have put up invisible strings around areas as big as all of Manhattan in New York City that represent a symbolic home and allows Jews more freedom to enjoy their Sabbath.
