In China they celebrate New Year based on the lunar calendar.  February 5th was the official day of the new year, but the celebration continues until the 19th.  This creates a marketing opportunity for many businesses:

Should companies profit from cultural celebrations?  

In many large cities around the world there are 'Chinatowns.'  However, many of these neighborhoods are disappearing.
