Reality shows and gossiping on TV programs

Rafa sent me another interesting topic idea this week. It is "reality shows" and "gossiping" on TV programs. What makes you think the fact that this kind of programs are shown at prime time? And what about the share in the country´s audience of these programs? We can use the same reasoning for football matches. Is this phenomenon eloquent of the cultural level of the country? What makes you think the fact that some football matches are considered of "high risk" and thousands of policemen are sent with the commitment of keeping order and avoid fighting among football supporters of both teams?... etc., etc., etc.."
