I meant to discuss this topic earlier, but I got
sidetracked. After the rush of Black Friday and Cyber Monday there has
been a new 'day' created: Giving Tuesday. The idea is simple: after
the frenzy of shopping for ourselves and our friends and families, we can take
this day and donate some money to a worthy cause.
Often we don't know what cause to donate to. There are
so many good causes out there, how can we pick the best one? Which one is
the most deserving? Effective Altruism tries to answer this question:
Of course not everyone agrees that this is the best way?
What causes do you donate to? Does this make you
rethink your contributions?
