Hello Everyone,
I recently met with a friend that told me about the results
of his genetic test and it got me thinking about the subject. Have you
ever considered getting a genetic test to sequence your DNA? Why/why
not? What would you like to learn?
Many people are getting genetic tests done to see where
their ancestors were from or even to find their biological parents. Sales
of these home kits have gone through the roof, but are they 100% accurate?
This issue has also been in the news in the U.S. as of late
because of a senator that has claimed she has Native American
ancestry.
The question has arisen of identity. Does your DNA
determine your identity? How much 'foreign' DNA do you need to have to be
considered a 'minority'?
